Lyla's Character Updates

History: The life of a succubus could not be told in a single day or even a week, but months of time. Unlike humans, they count time differently, by decades and centuries. Remembering the time she had first opened her eyes, she was small and without wings. It had all seemed normal yet strange for her because she was not born the same way most were. Instead of being formed by complete darkness and the human feelings of lust. Being born from a human mother, raised in a normal village until the age of nine when she had started having strange feelings. In telling her mother about it, her mother felt ashamed of her child, though never shunned her. Instead, she would keep her daughter away from other children and from people in the village.

Until one night that same year, the winter was harshest it had ever been in the mountains. Her mother, her very human mother, so frail and weak while her young daughter was untouched by illness or the cold. She sat beside her mother every day until the eighth, that night, she was told of her father; she had heard nothing about him until now. To find that she was changing, that the demon within was her, was alarming. The next morning, her mother had passed away and she wept over the human female's ice cold body. Later on that day, she was met by a strange and handsome stranger on her journey but he was not human; turned out that it was her father came to retrieve one of his many offspring. A strange demon he was, for along their journey, he had taught her what he knew and how to...control such urges but also to know when to give in and to survive. Decades had passed and she traveled alongside the man that was her father, her mentor and her companion. She had learned a great many skills and tricks, a great many sorrows and pains, lost partners, made and lost enemies and even one or two friends before they aged or died along her travels.

The dusk of the third month of her seventieth year (still an adolescent in demon's eyes) she awoke to find herself alone in a decrepit shack. Frowning to herself, the demoness did not shed a single tear. Her father had warned her that someday, she would awaken alone permanently when he felt she was ready and he would not spare her a goodbye. Keeping this message in mind, she would travel alone for a while longer. It wasn't until a decade later and many visits to many brothels and taverns that she found a profit in eavesdropping and blackmail; this led her to becoming a freelance informant and spy, for the right price of course. Even with the hardships she had faced, she knew there were still more to come, lessons never really do end. And even with all the bad, she would find a sliver of humanity that she just can't douse the flame of. A constant struggle within herself, she blamed her mother for the touch of kindness she possessed. From time to time though, if you look in the crowds of people in Waira Mountain's capital shopping district, you just might see a pretty young woman with captivating and come hither dark gray eyes calling you.

• Less than 50% difference in Wisdom means the sent will take immediate affect and will last depending on how powerful the scent is. For example; Succubus is using her scent with 5 Wisdom, Person A has Wisdom of 7. This means that the Succubus's Scent takes effect immediately with no delay.
• From 50% to 75% difference in Wisdom means the scent will take 2 turns to take affect and will last depending on how powerful the scent is. For example; Succubus is using her scent with 5 Wisdom, Person A has Wisdom of 8. This means that the Succubus's Scent takes 2 turns to take effect.
• At 75% to 100% difference in Wisdom means the scent will take 4 turns to take affect and will last depending on how powerful the scent is. For example; Succubus is using her scent with 5 Wisdom, Person A has Wisdom of 10. This means that the Succubus's Scent takes 4 turns to take effect.
• Over 100% difference means in Wisdom means the scent will not take affect at all. For example; Succubus is using her scent with 5 Wisdom, Person A has Wisdom of 15. This means that the Succubus's Scent will not take affect at all.
